Pilates – Strength, Flexibility & Mobility

Pilates exercise tones and shapes the body to create good posture, so you look and feel your best. The technique is based on functional movement, which, when taught well transfers easily and quickly outside of class into everyday life. The emphasis is on creating length through the spine and correcting alignment, which gives you a stronger and leaner look and feel.

The pilates classes will be taught by Jodie Brown, a fully qualified member of the Pilates Foundation UK. Jodie studied pilates as an apprentice to Mehg Hoffman at the Pilates Place South West, London. She certified as a teacher with the Pilates Foundation in 2001, and is qualified to teach on both mat and apparatus. Jodie continued to teach at the Pilates Place SW until 2002, when she moved to the south coast. After running successful mat classes in Bexhill, Jodie opened her own fully equipped studio in Hastings in 2005, where she still teaches today.
